If you have stopped by my website or blog on occasion, you may be noticing that it looks a little different. After months and months of creative input, designing, and rebranding – Naturally Blessed has finally got a makeover! But why this big change? I am excited to finally be able to officially announce two big changes with my practice!
For starters, I will soon be moving locations. I know, I know… I have moved a lot! Looking back, I would never have imagined that I would have come this far in such a short time. But each move has exemplified the steps I have taken up in this profession. Almost nine years ago, I started this journey as a newbie massage therapist in a small day spa working for hourly wage. My first step up: a busy massage therapist in a larger salon and spa working on commission. Step two: an independent contractor working for a local chiropractor on an even better commission. Step three: a small time business owner, renting a room and working for myself. Each step I have taken has given me the experience and knowledge needed to take the next step, so that for the past two years, I have been able to rent my own building and now – finally – own my own building in a very prominent location in town.
So very excited!
If you are local, keep your eyes and ears peeled, as I am hoping to announce my Grand Opening in a very short time, once we do all the necessary paint and decor. (And if anyone wants to volunteer some handyman work or barter for massages… let me know!.. wink)
I have so many ideas for classes, events, and groups that I want to incorporate as soon as we move physical locations that it’s extremely difficult for me to keep it all on the down-low (instant gratification much? haha), but if you want to keep up on all that is happening with us, feel free to email me and let me know you would like to be added to my e-newsletter that I send out monthly; or, if you are on Facebook, like our Naturally Blessed page for weekly updates.
Which brings us to exciting announcement #2…
I have expanded my services past massage therapy and am now trained as a birth doula!
You may be asking yourself “what the heck is a doula?!”, especially since around this area, a doula is something largely unheard of! Simply, a doula is a person who is there to support and encourage a mother during their time of pregnancy, labor, and delivery. My focus will shift depending on what each individual mother desires, as no two women are the same, and no two births are the same. I can sit here and blog about all the statistics of how helpful a doula can be, and all the possible services I can offer (and you can read a bit of that on my new Birth Services pages), but then I could go on and on… rather, that’s another blog for another day. This post, however, is just meant to be more of an announcement than anything!
In this redesign, we have incorporated a rainbow-esque theme that I feel best expresses the different areas I specialize in, as well as created a whole new logo to incorporate the three main genres of my work: massage, birth, and natural health. I hope you enjoy it! (And if you really like my new design, check out Viking Web Solutions — they are so great to work with!! Well, that could be because it’s my hubby… LOL!)
I would just like to take this time to thank all my loyal clients and followers. I know that from an outside perspective, it seems like my blog/website is pretty quiet, but I am feeling beyond blessed that God has called me to this passion for a more natural lifestyle and that I have been able to help others. The words of encouragement and tears of gratitude I have received over the years have been irreplaceable in my heart and mind, and I hope to continue on this path of helping and healing for as long as I am able.
